چکیده

Abstract The single point incremental forming (SPIF) process is a flexible and progressive manufacturing technique in the monolithic molding domain of heterogeneous metal pressing panels, which can contribute to panels with complex contour applicable fabrication small amount titanium mesh plates for cranial prosthesis. A sandwich construction was proposed this paper purpose inhibiting indentation on product surface deformation extent opening, as well accuracy mesh. method finite element modelling applied analyze influence rules low-melting-point alloy/synergistic mechanism alloy layer quality. At last, horizontal arrangement significance regarding parameters wall thickness rebound ratio effects confirmed.

The Effects of Forming Parameters on the Single Point Incremental Forming of 1050 Aluminum Alloy Sheet

The single point incremental forming (SPIF) is one of the dieless forming processes which is widely used in the sheet metal forming. The correct selection of the SPIF parameters influences the formability and quality of the product. In the present study, the Gurson-Tvergaard Needleman (GTN) damage model was used for the fracture prediction in the numerical simulation of the SPIF process of alum...

Investigation of Fracture Depth of Al/Cu Bimetallic Sheet in Single Point Incremental Forming Process

Single point incremental sheet forming (SPISF) has demonstrated significant potential to form complex sheet metal parts without using component-specific tools and is suitable for fabricating low-volume functional sheet metal parts economically. In the SPIF process, a ball nose tool moves along a predefined tool path to form the sheet. This work aims to optimize the formability and forming force...

Investigation of Springback Angle in Single Point Incremental Forming Process on Explosive Welded Cu/St/Cu Multilaye

Nowadays, the role of light weight materials has grown up in important industries such as aerospace and biomechanics, but before the appliance, their strength should be increased. A modern way to increase this factor along with the lightweight factoris using bimetal sheets, hence, the design of multilayer sheets has been very much considered recently. In this study, explosive welded Cu/St/Cu mu...

Low-Carbon Steel Sheet Asymmetric Single-Point Incremental Forming: Analysis and Optimization of the Surface Roughness (TECHNICAL NOTE)

Surface roughness (SR) has an adverse effect on the appearance of low-carbon steel parts, formed in the asymmetric incremental sheet forming (AISF) process, particularly those requiring painting operation. The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of AISF process parameters on the surface roughness of an asymmetric part formed on low-carbon steel sheets. The parameters are feed ra...

Single Point Incremental Forming of Polymers

The aim of the present paper is to evaluate the possibility of producing low-cost, small-batch, polymer sheet components by means of single point incremental forming (SPIF) at room temperature. During the research work, five different thermoplastic materials were incrementally formed into cones with an increasing wall angle on a conventional CNC milling machine. In designed experiments, signifi...
